At St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School, we seek to form the whole student, spiritually, intellectually, and physically. We strive to help all on their journey to sainthood. To achieve this goal and to meet the standards set by the Diocese of Wichita, we utilize a variety of curricula. The hyperlinked resources for each subject are listed below. Also, below and in the documents section are the standards set for each grade level. As the primary educator of our students, each parent may review our instructional materials at any time. However, we ask for advance notice to collect them.
W.I.N. Time
W.I.N. Time (or What I Need Time) is a data-driven MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) model where we at St. Catherine Catholic School strive to meet the academic needs of our K-5th grade students. While each student will receive on-grade level instruction in reading and math, W.I.N. Time allows for small group instruction where students can practice a specific skill (e.g. comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, etc.). The students are grouped using benchmark data (AIMSweb in K-5, state assessments in 3-5, and classroom performance/teacher observation). This data will be reviewed on a regular basis, which allows the groups to be dynamic or flexible to change as the students' needs change.
Please see the documents and links below for information about the benchmarking measures and instructional tools used during W.I.N. Time.
